In today’s challenging climate with a cost of living and housing crisis, parents from disadvantaged households are under increasing pressure and this has flow-on effects to their children. This program is designed to be a lifeline, offering practical tools, support, and confidence to help parents meet their children’s developmental and educational needs.
Led by a dedicated Parent Engagement Worker, the program’s interactive workshops and individual sessions will guide parents and build their resilience to tackle day-to-day parenting challenges. From mastering positive communication and handling difficult behaviours to navigating family dynamics and setting healthy boundaries, participants will walk away equipped and empowered.
But it’s children and young people who will ultimately be the beneficiaries of this program as the skills and strategies shared through Empowering Parents, Thriving Children will create ripple effects, fostering safe and supportive environments where children can flourish.
